How to translate my transcription ?

Gladia lets you translate your transcriptions (and subtitles, if enabled) into one or more languages. To enable translation, add translation=true to your configuration. This will generate translations of your transcription alongside the original transcription.

You can go further by using the translation_config object:

• target_languages → list of language codes to translate into.

• model → choose between:

  • "base" → faster, good for most cases

  • "enhanced" → slower, but higher quality and context-aware

• match_original_utterances (default: true) → keep translations aligned with original speech segments (great for subtitles).

• lipsync (default: true) → optimize translations for dubbing & visual lip sync.

• context_adaptation (default: true) → enable smarter translations with context.

  • Add context for domain-specific accuracy (e.g. medical consultation). Eg: “don’t translate technical termes”, “translate in a formal manner”

  • Add informal: true if you want casual phrasing in languages that support it.
